Lourisma

We are a very small hobby kennel established in 1995, concentrating on quality not quantity. We pride ourselves in our on-going health testing. As part of our commitment to the health of our puppies and the breed in general, we actively promote the following health tests: KC/BVA Eye Scheme including Gonioscopy, OptiGen prcd-PRA DNA test and Antagene FN DNA Test. We only breed according to the OptiGen and Antagene breeding recommmendations therefore no puppy bred at Lourisma should ever inherit prcd-PRA or FN.

Puppies and youngsters are occasionally available to loving, caring homes only. We breed a litter only when we require a puppy ourselves to show and any money from the sale of puppies goes to their upkeep and veterinary expenses, health testing and exhibiting.

We show our dogs at Open and Championship Shows all over the UK and have had moderate success gaining the Stud Book number for my Swedish Import Westerner True Lies imp swe who's son Abilou Starlight of Lunetta (Westerner True Lies imp swe x Lourisma Lunetta) has been placed in his class at Crufts 3 years running and also has his Stud Book No. "Charlie" won the Open Dog stakes at Blackpool Championship Show 2008.

Lourisma has also had success overseas with the Australian export Lourisma Gucci being an influential dam in producing Aust Ch Goldtag Made By Lourisma. Thank you to Jan and her team for flying the Lourisma flag in Australia.

Unfortunately as we only keep a small number of dogs our last bitch was spayed for health reasons which marked the end of our original line. In 2008 we bought in the lovely blue bitch Danton Cleo who has so far exceeded our expectations in the show ring including Best Puppy in Show at Goyt Valley Gundog at only 6 months old. In 2009 we introduced Lynwater Crescent Moon and both Cleo and Jenna are Crufts 2010 Qualified.
